Herb Gardens This page is dedicated to gardeners all over who want to show off their handiwork. Please email your pictures to me karen@gardenchick.com and we will post them.
This is my new herb garden planted the week of April 24th. It is a mostly a culinary garden and includes nasturtiums for edible flowers, oregano, chives, parsley, basil, cilantro, pinapple mint. Up front are3 calendula plants I will use for my salves, and a large rosemary plant from last year. I still need to plant my pineapple sage in a pot. In the background is chammomile and lemon balm. Check back periodically to monitor the progress. On the side is my vegetable garden with the potatoes making a show. Planted are tomato, corn, peppers, green beans, yellow and zuchini squash, and peas. Waiting until warm weather are my annual flowers for cutting, and my "moon and stars" watermelons which are an heirloom variety I am trying this year. . I like to add color to the herb garden and the Iris's were a find I found on the side of the road a couple of years ago marked "free." Those are magic words and I couldn't pass them up. Oh yes, the turkeys are my husbands addition to keep out the crows. Lots of Luck!
Look at how the garden has grown! Same garden - June.
